In deze veiligheidsinstructie staan veiligheidsprocedures die opgevolgd moeten worden wanneer men werkt aan, of in de nabijheid van, aardgasnetten. Het gaat hierbij om aardgasnetten die zowel onder hoge druk als onder lage druk aardgas transporteren. Verder is VIAG van toepassing bij het werken aan of in de omgeving van aardgasinstallaties en aardgasleidingnetwerken. BEI certificaten worden door netbeheerders verplicht gesteld wanneer monteurs werkzaamheden verrichten aan de systemen die onderdeel uitmaken van de elektriciteitsvoorziening die eigendom zijn, of in beheer zijn, van netbeheerders.<\/p>\n<p>Een BEI certificaat gaat voornamelijk om veiligheid. Veilig werken aan hoogspanning, midden spanning of laagspanning is belangrijk. Of er nu onderhoud uitgevoerd wordt aan bestaande systemen , of er nieuwe systemen worden aangelegd. Ook in deze discipline worden deelnemers op een onderhoudende manier op het examen voorbereid.
